The jury for this year’s Festival is:
Hristos Simardanis was born long time ago in the deep Egypt's desert, in Alexandria, and until the age of 6 he was raised with the Nile’s water. If you stare at his eyes, you can tell. Since then, he drunk water from Yliki, the lake that supplies Athens, and Tamesis, during his staying in London. This is also clear, if you stare at his eyes. He won’t misunderstood you, since it’s your second time. In London, he learnt patience, acting - if it was teachable - and french, as a cover. For two years, back then when he was working at the National Theatre of Northern Greece, he was drinking bottled water, because he was told that the city’s running water isn’t drinkable. He has worked a lot at theatre, almost non - stop since 1983, TV, cinema and he is still thankful for his voice, which actually gives him food, water and roof. Furthermore, he has translated 5 - 6 theatre plays from English to Greek.Right now, he is preparing his own play, in Greek.
Yiannis Manakos lived in New York for five years and in London for another two, studying cinema, mathematics and business. He is the founder and CEO in several communication companies including Huts Spot Thompson adversting agency, Engage digital agency, Imagination productions company. He is a also a shareholder of Attica Media and a columnist at Esquire Magazine. He has travelled in 74 countries and has produced and directed several short films and photo exhibitions.
Sakis Tsitomeneas has been a member of the Greek film industry since 1994. He has worked with two major Greek distribution companies (Odeon and Rosebud), as sales manager, press and marketing manager. He has also wrote for several film magazines, such as "Cinema magazine" and has collaborated with 2 major Greek Film Festivals (Athens International Film Festival-Opening Nights and Francophone Film Festival in Athens) as a press and communication manager, programmer and traffic coordinator. As a member of the Greek Distribution industry, he has participated in all the major Film Festivals and Film Markets, such as Cannes, Berlinale, Locarno and many others. Since November 2016 he is the program director of the newly established En Lefko Film Festival. In the midtime, he is one of the acknowledged producers of the Greek radio, with collaborations, among others, with the radio stations Jazz fm, Galaxy, Nitro, Capital and Kosmos. For the last 7 years he’s been presenting the afternoon zone 18.00 -20.00 at En Lefko 87,7.
Panagiotis Iosifelis is a Screenwriter and Assistant Professor of Film Department of AUTH. He has worked for movie scripts, documentaries and TV series. He was jury member of Balkan Fund (2010) of Thessaloniki International Film Festival and of Crash Fest, on the Script Competition Section.
Ioannis Kolaxizis is a Fine Artist, Cinematographer and Assistant Professor of Film Department of AUTH. He participated in several exhibitions in Greece and abroad, receiving many distinctions. At the past, he worked at the plastic arts department and several art schools.
